Eidelon Bird Walk Last Sunday

A few of us River Ridgers including Janet A. as our guide went out for a 7am bird walk at Eidelon. It was my first bird walk and I realized there is a lot more for me to learn. In all, 41 species were heard or spotted.  With all the migratory birds appearing it was pretty amazing. I have some photos to upload too but in the meantime here is the list with the number of each species from that morning walk.

Our backyard stream and all the others around the Ridge were flowing briskly the past few weeks. Constant Run Road had it's annual flooding but now has receded.

Happy New Year!!!

It was a beautiful weekend to spend in the woods over New Year's Eve. The weather was great during the day and cool enough for a cozy fire at night.

I have photos to upload that have been on a drive for months but as you have probably guessed it was a little hectic the last quarter of 2010. If some of you have any photos please send them to me with a brief caption and I'm very happy to post them to share with our neighbors.
