Beavers in Cacapon today

I watched three beavers swimming in the river today when I came home around 4:30. One after the other, they would submerge and then come back up again. It didn't look like they were in a hurry to get anywhere. I know that "cute" isn't a good term for describing wildlife....but that's what kept me sitting there for quite a while!

    OK Maybe I need to correct my own post. Several people are telling me that I must be talking about the river otters. To tell the truth...having only seeing their heads...I'm not sure. Does anyone have more to say on this?

    Either way I'm jealous. I thought I saw a beaver 2 years ago but there definitely are otters there too. Next time whip out the cell camera and we can settle the debate! :) Thanks for posting.
